The Complete Slime Care Guide
Every Knead slime arrives handcrafted and fresh. With proper storage and a tiny bit of activator care, your slimes will stay stretchy, fragrant, and satisfying for months to come.
1. Wash Hands First
Natural hand oils and dust break down slime bonds. Wash with cool water and dry thoroughly before opening your jar.
2. Clean, Non-Porous Surface
Play on smooth plastic, laminate, glass, or stone countertops. Avoid wooden tables, paper, and fabrics/carpets.
3. Cool, Dry Storage
Keep slimes away from direct sunlight, car dashboards, or heat vents. Heat dissolves slime polymer bonds rapidly.
4. Always Seal Airtight
Exposure to open air dries out the moisture in glue and clay. Always screw jar lids on tightly immediately after play.
How to Mix & Use Slime Activator
Every order of Knead slime includes a complimentary packet of pure activator powder (borax). If your slime feels warm or sticky after delivery, activator is all you need to return it to perfection.
The Recipe:
Dissolve 1 teaspoon of activator powder into 1 cup (8 oz) of warm tap water. Stir until the water is completely clear and no granules remain on the bottom. Let cool to room temperature.
Gently poke the slime in the jar before grabbing it with two hands. If it sticks to your finger, it needs activator.
Never pour cupfuls! Add just a few drops of your prepared solution directly onto the surface or your fingertips.
Knead firmly for 2 to 3 minutes. The chemical bonds take a minute to cross-link. Don't add more until you knead!

During transit or hot summer days, postal trucks can reach over 100ยฐF, temporarily relaxing the slime polymers.
